HORTUS ANIMAE Part Ways With BLACK LOTUS RECORDS, Seek New Label Home
February 17, 2005HORTUS ANIMAE, the prog-extreme metal project of ANCIENT drummer Diego "GroM" Meraviglia, have cut ties with label Black Lotus Records due to problems in connection with the release of their recently completed second album, "The Blow of Furious Winds". The follow-up to the group's acclaimed 2003 debut, "Waltzing Mephisto", was mixed at Italy's Alpha-Omega Studios with producer Alex Azzali (ANCIENT).
According to an official press release, "The Blow of Furious Winds" "shows an extremely hightened maturity in the songwriting and performance of the band, forging an album that contains almost every kind of musical expression known to metal and beyond metal, truly expressing HORTUS ANIMAE's contemporary character of 'the musical encyclopedia.' It will be a very innovative and diverse album."
"The Blow of Furious Winds" is scheduled for release this spring/summer through an as-yet-undetermined label.
